Diver's Den Dive Shop, newly owned and operated by a passionate four-member team, is the oldest PADI dive shop in the world! It is currently located in Hampton Falls, NH and it has been since 2020. Diver's Den is dedicated to the sport of SCUBA diving and to prove that the shop is proud to boast it's PADI Five Star facility rating.
Diver's Den has five PADI certified instructors and offers SCUBA classes and private lessons on-site year-round. In addition to instruction, we have an inventory of all the SCUBA gear a diver could need, from masks to wetsuits, BCDs to regulators. Whether you are looking to buy, rent, or repair your equipment, we provide you with the right price for your needs.

Divers Den's story
It all started...
In the late 1950s Dick Kurisko and friends had begun getting involved in a sport called scuba diving. He made his own wet suits from neoprene and through a tank on his back with some high tech regulator breathing systems and took to explore the ocean and what it had to offer. No training from any certifying agency as there were none around. So the group taught themselves with the help of a local friend Jack Whalen. Dick was so excited about this new adventure that he decided to open a part-time dive shop in the basement of his home. That was in 1967. During the day he traveled to Boston for his day job and nights and weekends he opened the shop to sell scuba diving equipment and to start teaching classes. The word was out and before he knew it, the part-time business was off and running. Dick’s passion for the sport grew and he decided that he needed to find a new spot to run the business from, while still teaching at his pool at his home.
In 1976 Dick came across a building for sale on Mammoth Rd and purchased it. That is where Diver’s Den Dive Shop has been since. This is another success story of a dream that someone had and was able to turn it into a successful business that is still to this day the largest dive shop in New Hampshire. We are celebrating 47 years in 2014.
And now...
On June 1st 2020, in the middle of a global pandemic, four friends and dive companions decided it was time to keep the Diver's Den story alive and purchased the shop from Dick and Judy Leclerc. Brian and Terry Martin, Craig Danby, and Susan Danby are the proud new owners of Diver's Den. With years of experience and passion, the four partners will bring skills and expertise to the new generation of divers, keeping the shop's story alive.
