Divemaster is the first level in becoming a diving professional. By this time you have developed a high level of personal diving skill, have attained an instructor’s knowledge level of diving theory, have had training in how to assist an instructor during training activities, and are able to assume responsibilities that benefit the welfare of other divers.

COURSE GOALS
To teach you how to organize, conduct and supervise recreational diving activities, both land and boat based and how to assist PADI instructors in conducting PADI Diver programs.

PREREQUISITES

  • Be a certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
  • Be a certified PADI Rescue Diver
  • Have logged a minimum of 20 open water dives prior to entry into PADI Divemaster training, and completed and logged a minimum of 60 open water dives with experience in night, deep and navigation prior to certification as PADI Divemaster.
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be in good physical condition for diving and submit a medical exam form signed by a physician

EQUIPMENT
Each diver must be equipped with the following equipment on every dive. Divers are recommended to supply their own equipment, however, rentals are available at student rates.

4. Weight system
5. Tank
6. Regulator with Gauges & Alternate Air source
7. BCD with Power Inflator
8. Timing device
